The Word Biomaterials Congress (WBC) takes places every four years and joins all Biomaterials Societies around the world.
- The Society for Biomaterials (U.S.)
- The European Society for Biomaterials
- The Canadian Biomaterials Society
- The Japanese Society for Biomaterials
- The Australasian Society for Biomaterials
- The Chinese Committee for Biomaterials (CCBM)

IoB will be represented at the 10th WBC (WBC2016) that will take place in Montreal (Canada) from 17 to 22 May 2016 by having a booth in the Exhibit Area. The organizers expect to have close to 3,000 biomaterial professionals at the conference. This will be an opportunity for showcasing IoB technologies and activities. Suggestions for displaying materials at the IoB booth are welcome. Helena Azevedo, Alvaro Mata, Julien Gautrot, Himadri Gupta, Pankaj Vadgama from SEMS and Paul Anderson from SMD will be attending this meeting and we hope to see many of you there!?
Helena Azevedo and Alvaro Mata will lead a ?Lunch & Learns? Session at WBC2016 on ?Starting a competitive academic lab? where they will share their experience and knowledge with a group of 9 individuals over lunch.
The organizers of the WBC2016 have extended the abstract submission deadline to September 30, 2015. So there is still an opportunity to submit abstracts to the conference.
